How do I get my tax receipt?
You receive an instant email receipt after every donation. We also send a year-end giving summary every January for tax filing.
About Our Organization
I haven't heard of Borrowed Hours — are you legitimate?
We're family-run, not a household name. But we've operated since 2014, are a verified 501(c)(3), and have rescued 14,000+ animals. Our EIN, annual reports, and board details are publicly available.

Where does my money go?
94 cents of every dollar goes directly to rescue operations, veterinary care, rehabilitation, foster placement, and legislative advocacy. Just 6% covers essential operations.
How are you different from the ASPCA or Humane Society?
We specialize in applied rescue — we physically go into the field for puppy mills, fighting rings, hoarding, and equine neglect. We handle the cases others can't.
Do you publish financial reports?
